It was recommended that the individual erven that are found to be feasible or slightly below feasible should reassess their cost of implementing a rainwater harvesting system. The legal implications of using the Scenario 3’s cost savings from the sewage tariffs should be identified. Alternative costing should be considered for rainwater tanks that have storage requirements of 100 kL or greater. It was recommended that all 76 erven that were deemed feasible for scenario 3 model 1 at average inflation should consider the implementation of rainwater harvesting systems on their erf.
